When does your child start thinking about their up-coming birthday party?

Months before their big day--right?

YO GABBA GABBA

And every child (and parent) has the same worry--what if nobody shows up for the party?

You birthday invitation wording needs to be creative, exciting and fun. You want everyone that gets your invitation to not only RSVP, but to actually show up for your child's party.

How many times have you opened your mail box and found a birthday invitation that read something like this - "you're invited to Mike's birthday party on Saturday, October 6th. The party starts at 2:00pm, cake and ice cream will be served."

Now you don't get excited over an invitation like the one above do you? Of course not--it gives you most of the party details, but it's yawn and snore boring. And when you get an invitation like that you probably stick it on the refrigerator, or you mark your calendar and pitch the invitation.

Creative birthday invitation fun to the rescue

Do you want everyone to get EXCITED about your child's birthday party? Do you want them to be so excited they can hardly wait?

Then let's get creative and have some fun with your invitations.

In today's hurry up world you need to put together and deliver an invitation that will stop them in their tracks. You need an invitation that instantly let's them know your child's celebration is going to be special.

Are you going to have a party theme?

One of the easiest ways to make your invitation stand out is by putting together one that complements your theme.

For a Princess theme you can put together a "royal proclamation" scroll announcing your daughter's special celebration with wording like this:

"The King and Queen cordially invite you to a very special celebration, the _________ (how old your daughter will be)th. Birthday of Princess __________________ (your child's first and last name)."

"Our royal celebration takes place on Saturday November 3rd at 2:00pm."

For a Pirate theme, use parchment paper and write your invitation like this:

"Get ready to hoist anchor and set sail for high seas fun maties!"

"Captain _______________(your child's first and last name) be turning _____________(how old your child will be) an yer invited ta join in our birthday fun sez me."

"We'll be having a Pirate's treasure chest full ah fun and yes maties, "X" marks the spot sez me."

"Take a look at this here map fer directions to the Captains party where all the fun begins."

Now do you really want to get them EXCITED?

Have someone dress up in your theme costume and hand deliver your invitations in character.

Imagine a knock on your door--you answer and discover a member of the King and Queen's royal court who says:

"Good day me lady--I greet you with this royal proclamation"

Now they begin reading the birthday scroll invitation.

You'd be impressed, and so would your child.

Remember, the reason you send invitations is to let everyone know that you're celebrating your child's birthday and that you want them to be a part of the celebration fun. You want them--no, you NEED them to be there.

You absolutely don't want your child to be broken hearted because no one showed up for their party--ouch.

Creative birthday invitation wording is lots of fun and if you take a little time to put together something that will make everyone WANT stop and look at your announcement, you'll have everyone you invite RSVP and actually show up for your party.

Outdoors: making any suitable deck or playground is one of the easiest ways to start. Because you already have rails and wood accents and a raised deck, you can honestly turn any outdoor deck into a grand ship deck with glowing flags and colors. By simply adding a cardboard steering wheel and a few poles with flags and streamers, you will be sure to make a uncomplicated deck into a piece of art. The best part about doing this party outdoors is that it adds to the feeling of honestly being on a boat. You can also originate a buried treasure in the yard or sand box for some extra adventure and fun for the kids.

Indoors: If it's just not the right season or you live in a place where it would be impossible to originate an outdoor ship with a deck or playground, then you are in luck; because transforming a room into a ship is going to be a piece of cake. It may need a bit more decorating and time, but in the end you will honestly have a festive boat after all. Some of the options when decorating indoors are buying scene setters or backdrops. These are rarely high-priced and can add a whole new look to any wall or room. You can buy a beach style scene setter and originate the room into a night out on the beach or use boat scene setters to originate the ship feeling to the room. If you are honestly feeling creative you can honestly originate your own ship walls and sky by placing blue paper at the top of the room and making a ship wall colse to the lower portion of the wall.

Wondering where you can find scene setters? Most online party shop will carry a good choice of party supplies. Just make sure when you crusade for scene setters in your crusade zone you type in discount or sale to be sure to pull up the best prices possible.

So whether you are planning a party indoors or out, on a ship or at the beach, a pirate birthday party is going to turn out great by simply using a few of these great tips and idea.
