Birthday Party Favors

Party favors are a tradition when having a birthday party for your kid. Personalized birthday favors are usually a common choice. The motive of birthday party favors, as with any favor, is a small gift to thank the guest for attending your party. When purchasing birthday party favors, ensure that you have enough for every guest. When you give a party favor to every guest, it is a sign of very good manners.

When holding a birthday party for a young kid, it is normal practice that the kid's parent will be present at the party also. If you are purchasing birthday party favors for your kid's friends, then it is normal that the parents of the guests also receive a birthday party favor. If the parent is attending the party, then a favor such as a photo frame or a nice scented candle is a good idea. Personalized party favors for the adults should be given also. If there are a lot of guests present at the birthday party, then it is not necessary to spend much money, remember that a favor is a token of thanks, it is not everyone's birthday. Give ones that are inexpensive. However, if you feel the need to purchase more expensive ones, then go ahead and do so.

If possible, try not to purchase too much candy for the kids birthday party favors. Small toys that are safe for kids would be a better idea, with a little candy included.

To incorporate party favors with a game, you can, rather than filling bags or boxes with the gifts, place small favors into balloons, and blow them up with the gift inside. Be sure to have blue and pink balloons, so that the girls choose the pink balloons and the boys choose the blue balloons. Have a large area outside with perhaps a kids paddling pool whereby you can put all of the balloons. Then explain to the kids that every time they hear the bell ring or the whistle blow, they have to run outside collect one balloon each, bring it back inside of the house and pop it to receive their favor. This is better undertaken with kids of 5 years and above, as the sound of the balloons bursting may frighten younger kids. Of course, some of the favors may be too big to fit into a balloon. If so, place the large favors, wrapped in paper, in a separate basket, but add empty balloons to the padding pool also. Enough to correspond with the number of larger favors that you have. When a kid returns indoors, they can still pop their balloon, but need to go to the basket to collect a favor.

Some simple birthday party favor are:
