Have a little one who is obsessed with the Wiggles? What three year old isn't? From the preliminary invite to the most minor of details, here is all you need (and need to know) to throw your child the perfect Wiggles party right at home.
Invitations
BIRTHDAY SUPPLIES
Purchase Wiggles invitations online or at a party store. Make the envelopes more festive by using Wiggles stickers or drawing brightly-colored swirls and squiggles all over.
The Mailbox
Use your mailbox as a landmark to help guests unmistakably identify your home. Attach helium-filled balloons in the Wiggles trademark colors: blue, purple, yellow, and red. You can also create a large sign out of poster board that reads, "It's Wiggle Time!"
Decorations
Whether you're having the party indoors or out, continue the Wiggles color scheme through the use of more helium-filled balloons, streamers, table covers, a Wiggles birthday banner, and any other Wiggles birthday supplies you can find. Purchase a Wiggles Cd to play throughout the period of the part.
Games and Activities
Have the games and activities town nearby the other Wiggles characters: Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus and Captain Feathersword, the friendly Pirate. For example, have the kids hunt for Captain Feathersword's buried treasure. Plainly fill a small plastic kid's pool with sand and little toys and trinkets (a.k.a. "buried treasure") that the children can hunt for. Or play Wags the Dog's bean bag toss. You can set up a middle point for each character and game or activity; isolate the children into small groups and have them rotate through each one. Have the adults running each middle point dress up in one of the Wiggles colors and pass out Wiggles party hats for the children to wear.
Food
If the party is being held outside, have a barbeque and serve favorites such as hot dogs and hamburgers with side dishes of potato chips, baked beans, or "wiggly" jello. If indoors, consider serving an additional one kid favorite: pizza! For dessert, serve Wiggles cake or cupcakes with blue, purple, yellow, and red frosting.
Party Favors
Look at your local party store to find Wiggles-themed party favors. From Wiggles stickers to noisemakers, fill a Wiggles goody bag with fun toys, trinkets, and candy for each guest to take home with them. Just make sure the goodies you hand out are age appropriate for your guests.
